Environmental Responsibility
Every kWh of electricity that is
saved has a direct positive impact on the environment.
Coal-fired power stations generate most of the
electricity we use. The more we use, the more coal needs to be
burned. Burning coal emits Carbon Dioxide and other greenhouse
gasses which are harmful to the environment.
As responsible consumers of power we need to
understand that any electrical load (like a light
bulb) is actually smoking!! That smoke is emitted at
the power stations and ends up in our atmosphere.
When you start thinking of electrical loads as
"dirty things that smoke", your mental attitude undergoes a radical
change and you become much more aware of things that
are consuming power unnecessarily.
PowerWatch™ monitors, tracks and reports
on the positive impact your savings have on the
environment. Users of PowerWatch™ can download an up to date
