PowerWatch™ Baseline

Establishing a Baseline is one of the fundamental first steps that should be taken to improve energy management. 

A Baseline provides you with;

• A record of your historical consumption.
• A point of reference to judge the impact of changes in your energy consumption.
• A valid starting point from where you can launch improvement campaigns. 

PowerWatch™ will establish and present you with your energy consumption baseline using historical information.  A variety of sources can be used.

Customers generally fall into one of three categories;

1. Those with sophisticated energy metering systems installed - these systems are typically able to provide historical profile information.
2. Those with their own metering installed but without sophisticated logging - i.e. where historical profile information may not be available.
3. Those with little or no (own) energy metering systems installed.

Each of these three groups of customers can be easily accommodated by PowerWatch™.  Where historical profile information is available, PowerWatch™ will make use of this information to construct a Baseline.

If profile information is not available PowerWatch™ makes use of billing information as well as its own monitoring to develop and present accurate Baselines.
